FAQs
What is a session like?
Sessions are held online and last just under one hour. Each client's session is unique and tailored to the focus of your individual needs. You'll find the session relaxed and private.
Why is your practice focused on men?
While I believe that we are all more alike than different, I find that there are specific issues unique to the experience of a man, particularly in mid-life. These are the issues that I am most professionally passionate about and well-versed in treating so that is the focus of my practice. I also do not work with couples or minors but know some great therapists in the area that I am happy to refer.
How long do I need to attend sessions?
Therapy should have a goal and we should know when that goal is met. These questions (what are we trying to accomplish and how will we know when we've done it) are the first thing we establish in our work together. This is what determines our timeline. Therapy should not last forever. Throughout our time together we will be evaluating our progress to make sure we are moving towards the goal. When we reach it, therapy either ends or we identify new goals. For many men this process lasts a few months.
How much does it cost / how do I pay?
My current rate for sessions is $180. You are welcome to pay by credit card or use a Health Savings Account.
Do you accept insurance?
I do no not currently accept insurance but I am happy to provide you with an out of network "super bill" you can submit to your insurance.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Having my life upended and navigating a divorce in your mid 40's is not what I saw coming. Kyle's ability to help make sense of it all, and to prepare for the inevitable was essential. In the end, my kids and I are so much better off for the work I have done with him."
